Harry and Hermione made their way to the back of the room, where there was a small, vacant table between the window and a handsome Christmas tree, which stood next to the fireplace. Ron came back five minutes later, carrying three foaming tankards of hot butterbeer.
“Merry Christmas!” he said happily, raising his tankard.
Harry drank deeply. It was the most delicious thing he’d ever tasted and seemed to heat every bit of him from the inside.
—Prisoner of Azkaban, Chapter 10
This was one of the most vivid and touching moments for me while reading this book. It’s simple and heartwarming, just the way I love it.
I think I have a liking for thick eyebrows, large hats, poofy dresses and braided hair.. It’s no wonder I adore this girl so much (along with her sweet personality)!
I forgot to mention — my Pottermore username is StoneRose187, so let’s be friends and ~sneak around the Astronomy tower at night~ or something!
In other news, my first potion-making session ended.. very….. well.
(redrawn and reposted because I didn’t like the first picture very much! I also realize how much I resemble Harry in this photo)
On SAI, I usually use the preset canvas A4 - 300dpi (which is 2480x3507 pixels), zoomed in at 50%!
This was a couple days ago, but I finally got into Pottermore! I was sorted into Gryffindor, which was somewhat of a surprise to me. Prior to the official sorting, I had always been placed into Hufflepuff — a house I had initially felt shameful of, but grew to love with all my heart. While I felt a slight loss for not getting into Hufflepuff, I have quickly learned to embrace my new house! My placement has since then sparked a renewed sense of confidence within me, and I’m now happy to call the Gryffindor tower my home.
(Slight spoiler) An excerpt from Pottermore reads, “In Neville’s case, the Hat was determined to place him in Gryffindor: Neville, intimidated by that house’s reputation for bravery, requested a placing in Hufflepuff. Their silent wrangling resulted in triumph for the Hat.” Reading this eased my heart heaps, because I (admittedly) related. Neville turned out to be one BADASS serpent slicer, so cheers to Gryffindor house!
Besides the sorting, I LOVE Pottermore and finished the first book yesterday. In all actuality, I don’t think there’s a thing I have indulged in more.. The painted illustrations are positively enchanting; Pottermore is pure, magical indulgence.
..When it comes to Harry Potter I talk too much.
It’s that time of night when I am at a loss for what to draw and, by default, attempt to draw myself in the most attractive way possible.
