If there’s anyone who’s late to the party, it’s me..! A few weeks ago, I posted a complete joke post asking people to draw Zelda, and to my HUGE surprise, people.. actually did?! The response was bigger than I would have ever imagined in my life, and to a joke post, even.. It was just so completely unexpected. So I’d like to thank you guys so, so much!! I honestly felt (and still feel) breathless at everyone’s contributions.. Everyone’s art was absolutely wonderful, and I feel like I will never be able to stress that enough. This entire thing not only reminded me of how beautiful Zelda is as a character/series, but how beautiful you all are as friends and artists. I can’t tell you how touched I am for all this to happen, so here is my own Zelda to thank you all! You guys are the best!! This is for you! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Everyone draw me Zelda

I’M SO LATE TO THE PARTY.

I’M SO LATE TO REBLOGGING THIS I’m so sorry!! But GOSH THIS IS SO LOVELY! ;_; I loooove all the lines in her hair, how elegant.. And then the detail in her shoulder armor looks GREAT!! I especially love her face, she has such a charming expression! She looks so graceful and sweet, with those BEAUUTIFUL eyes and long lashes, that cute nose, her blushing cheeks, those adorable lips ;_; You really captured her beauty! OH and I love the pattern you used in the background, so fittingly fancy! I love this so so so much, thank you for drawing Zelda!! *v*

Anonymous said: what brushes do you use?

Hi! Here are the brushes I have been playing with lately:

Sorry it isn’t too clear with the resize! I usually use flat or spread brushes, but recently I’ve been experimenting with the “HalfRound” and “Rough Vertical” brushes! The Half Round is less harsh than a flat brush, and is really nice for solid, curved strokes. The Rough Vertical is cccrazy and jaggedy and all over the place!! I really like its edgy, exaggerated curves. I also like to set my pen to a watercolor texture for a slight dry marker kind of look, while playing around with density levels.

I was also wondering if I should just make an FAQ for settings like these? Also, these are SAI settings so I’m not quite sure how they translate into other programs.. anyways, happy drawing (and sorry for all the writing)!!
